a shot of tequila, cold beer on tap, a good looking lady, to sit in your lap- National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.

While sometimes the fog is nice for the scenery, dealing with it every day so far is getting old.

When the sky opens up and lets the scenery take hold again it is magnificent.

The sun shining through the fog is glorious.

The brush on the ground changes in the distance and creates color changes on the landscape.

It always looks like it is the evening, but the light through the clouds is so bright. It feels like when you wake up after sleeping for a long time and then turn on the brightest lights right away.

The gray-green bush that is on the ground in most places sometimes shows its color when it's young.

The olive and lime greens are so vivid against the orange soil and shrubs. So some mountains are proud of their bowel movements. Seen here you can see how proud of it this mountain is.

It is actually the initials of Battle Mountain, Nevada. A lot of towns with high points have initials written in rocks or carved into them. This is also the town in which I saw a very pretty teenager with the tightest leggings with a coat that was just short enough to make my day. It felt wrong and right.

Th gray added to the landscape changes it so much.

When the fog hugs the ground and lets the top of mountains show the peaks look like they are fake and being held there on posts.

The dense shrubs and snowy mountains together are great to see.

The land changes so much as I go.

I rarely see the color combination that I associate with the desert.

Sometimes the snow completely disappears

The difference in mountains keeps the land a little more interesting.

I am mentally and emotionally fatigued. I get plenty of sleep, but between the repetitive landscape, driving for a long time, and thinking all the time about things I would rather keep off my mind make me so tired. I am having trouble keeping my mind off of things that have happened. I got so tired after just four hours of driving that I had to pull over at a rest area and take a two hour nap. fFtigued driving is dangerous driving, as signs explain.

I saw a ghost train that appeared out from the fog.

I always keep a look out for friends graffiti on trains. I did see NERS on trains in Bakersfield and another in Oregon...

This area was in a valley and the fog and frost had not left. It was after 3 so I take it that it never got warm.

The fact that there were trees was nice to see, and the trees being covered in frost was beautiful.

The sky went on forever on summit overlooks.

The rolling mountains with sharp peaks I always enjoy.

The shadows on little snow covered peaks that jut out from the land create such sharp shapes.

Reno greeted me with a pink sky. It looked as if the sky were on fire. I sometimes see pink mountains or clouds in the evening, but they are usually to my back and the camera can not quite pick up the rich color.

I had no knowledge on Reno other than Reno 911 so I learned a lot in just a few short minutes. The sign fits the city. It is full of skyscrapers downtown but tapers out pretty quick like a really small town afterward. National chains are everywhere here and even the casinos are the same as in Vegas, yet not as showy. I failed to mention before since I could not get a great picture, but Circus Circus has a newer metallic pink building in Vegas that is my favorite. Circus Circus here is just a tall plain hotel.

The Peppermill casino was also in another city, but here the lights are showy.

The Reno skyline has colored lights shining on the hotels downtown and that's pretty much it. If it weren't winter it would be so easy to get to Yosemite from here, but the roads are closed. I'll have to go a long way around, but I'm almost done! This has been a weird vacation/journey. It feels joyful, but also like work at times.
